"My name is Maren. I live in Niles, Michigan.. I was diagnosed with my anemia gravis in 1972 in Indianapolis, Indiana by Dr. Tether. My main issues I fatigue double vision., and unusual stress and fatigue. I was treated with Mestinon bromide timedpan , for 18 years by Dr. Tether. I thought the Mestinon helped my symptoms a lot..
1984 moved to Michigan to work for General Motors. I mainly went back to college at Purdue and got industrial management degree because as my job as a dental hygienist, I had to buy my own health insurance and I couldn’t get any health insurance.. so I decided I need to go back to college so that I could work or a major company so I would have health insurance, which is what I did. After two years living in Michigan, I ran out of meds and I couldn’t find an appropriate neurologist to Rep prescribe so I was referred to the University of Michigan muscle clinic, which was a three day examination.. the neurologists at the University of Michigan muscle clinic decided, but I no longer had myasthenia gravis or that I was misdiagnosed at Indiana University neurological clinic byTether. The neurologist in Michigan determined that I did not have MG anymore.. therefore I could not get prescriptions for anymore medication for treatment. . Now I am 78., and I have Medicare, and I By Humana Healthcare. I still have visual issues.. I read a lot. If I can have access to dyslexia font., I can read faster and more easily. My location is still a concern.
I have learned that if I can control the stresses in my life, I have less MG symptoms. In my life, I cannot afford to pursue treatment for MG., I am grateful that I have somewhat of a normal life. I was homeless for a couple of years., so my really good vitamin supplements that I took for many years, helped to all, are no longer affordable to me. Really good vitamins helps with my symptoms..
This is my first visit to your site. I cannot help myself perhaps I can help other by the things that I’ve learned over the years..
If you have any ideas for me for diagnosis or treatment, please reach out to me and I would be most grateful.
For me over the last 38 years, I believe the really good vitamins and particularly minerals, and learning how to control my stress, morning when I need to just go to bed for an hour or a day, if I get too upset, I can’t breathe well. Over the. Even though I was homeless, and I spent the entire winter living in a pick up truck in the winter in Michigan., God save me many times from freezing to death, and I am grateful.
I have a small apartment now that I can afford on my Social Security, but I no longer have a home.
