2024 Has Been Interesting to Say the Least

I am 72 years old, a grandma to 4 kids.

I had been mildly incontinent for several years, and in March I suddenly became severely incontinent requiring the use of several pads a day. What the heck, but after all I am 72. In April, I noticed I had less energy and weakness in my shoulders but then again I am 72. In early June my sister-in-life asked why I had a droopy eyelid.

June 19 I had septoplasty nose surgery. June 22 woke up unable to catch my breath, couldn't raise my arms, and scared to death. I was in the midst of a myasthenic crisis. Went to the ER was admitted to the hospital and the next day was in the ICU and intubated. Three and a half weeks later, came home to a whole new world. My main symptoms are week chest and diaphram so I get winded easily.

Weak shoulder and legs and hips, so now I use a walker. And of course fatigue so I nap a lot. I have named my new constant companion, Booker. For those old enough you might remember a band called Booker T and the MGs.

Learning about the new me everyday, you can teach an old dog new tricks, after all I am 72.
