Are You Religious or Spiritual?

Do you identify with or employ religion or spirituality in your life?

Were you this way before your Myasthenia gravis diagnosis?

How have these practices, thoughts, and connections to something/someone/higher power/creator impacted your journey living with MG?

  1. Spiritual

    1. thanks for sharing with us. Do you have any practices that you find particularly helpful? Wishing you a lovely weekend. Kindly, Jessica (Team Member)

  2. Such a great question! I'm interested to hear replies to.
I was raised a good little catholic girl, as was my mom and grandmother ect. When I had my own kids, I only went to church once in a while and grew more spiritual than a church goer.

    1. Hey there! I can totally relate to your experience. I was brought up in a Christian household, but as I got older, I found myself drawn more towards spirituality than organized religion. This shift became even more significant for me after being diagnosed with MG. I described a bit here: https://myasthenia-gravis.com/living/coping-spirituality.

  3. No, I am. not particularly religious. Has not changed since my diagnosis

    1. How do you respond when you receive advice that is based on religious belief, if you have been in that situation?

  4. My Christian faith has been tested and gradually strengthened by taking my MG one day at a time. I reward myself for even minor accomplishments and try to find truth in beauty.
