Dance

I just got diagnosed with MG 3 days ago. I'm still in the hospital trying to regain my strength. I was fine one day...painting my kitchen, taking my grandkids to the playground, washing my car, cooking and just getting back from a vacation in Bali. The next day I had no strength in in arms and legs. Could not walk or grip, could not open my pill box and had to puncture it with a knife. I don't know what to expect. I dance and was ready to start teaching again and this happened. I'm a flight attendant which is my retirement job that I love and don't know if I will be able to continue. I'm so lost without answers just prayers. I know there are no definite answers but is there hope?

  1. Thank you for answering and being honest. I'm on my last dose of IGIV. I'm able to move my arms open small bottles. I can walk slowly but able to get out if the hospital bed with little assistance. I'm just staying positive and praying.🙏🩷

    1. There is aways Hope!! I have lived with undiagnosed MG (no treatment) for many years. Now a diagnosis of MG.
We are all different on how it affects us. And only time will tell if you will be able to dance or continue being a flight attendant.
I know this can be scarry!! Try and take a deep breath and just take each day as it comes.
Getting upset can just make some of the symptoms worse. I do hope you will get to be able to do the things you like to do!!
Hugs to you... ❄ Sally Farrier... Myasthenia-Gravis.com (team member).
