I suggest calling the office to determine your allotted appointed time maximum. Then, list your specific goals for the appointment, including any questions. Bring this document or notes with you to your appointment. Make use of your appointment time! It's okay to have extra questions that are of less importance that you may not have time for. But if the doctor tries to end the appointment before your allotted time ends, be assertive and let them know that the appointment is not over yet and that you still have some questions or areas you want to discuss.
I actually switched practice 2 years ago and unbelievably I have never seen an actual Dr yet !! Thankyou for your kind words

Hi my heart goes out to you. <3 I know how frustrating it can be to not feel heard by medical professionals. Have you considered switching practices? If you feel like the current physician is not taking you seriously, it could be something to consider. That being said, you know your body best and do not stop advocating for yourself. Continue to push for the quality of care you deserve. I sincerely hope others will chime in with any tips they have. I have included an article we have on advocating for yourself during doctor appointments here - https://myasthenia-gravis.com/living/advocating-doctors. I hope this helpful. Please reach out if we can help locate any other info or simply provide a listening ear. Sending positive vibes and hugs. -Jessica, Team Member
