Misunderstood

Even Doctor's that seem to think they know how to handle this disease are often perplexed. They ask me things like the next time it gets bad go to the ER. Well I could be slurring my speech one moment to talking normal in the next half hour. Exercise, don't exercise. Myasthenic Crisis at any time, but try to live a normal life go on vacations do I drive a car or not? Am I eligible for a ded gum handicap tag so I don't have slurred speech before I reach the front door of the Wal-Mart?

  1. our community understands how challenging living with MG can be. You are not alone. Have you found a doctor that you feel confident in? In the meantime, I shared two articles that may be of interest - https://myasthenia-gravis.com/living/finding-doctor-specialists. And https://myasthenia-gravis.com/living/specialized-doctor-benefits. Wishing you well. -Jessica, Team Member
