Self healed through Food!

I was diagnosed in 2014 due to a positive reaction to Mestonin. I couldn’t talk and walk up stairs. I self healed through lifestyle design and the AIP. Symptom free since 2015!

  1. Hi It’s great to hear you have taken steps in managing stress and diet. We know those can be big triggers for so many with MG. While there
is no scientific consensus on a cure for MG, we’re glad to hear you’re
feeling better. Sending my best, Lauren (Myasthenia-Gravis.com Team)

    1. The biology of MG is well known. While I am a true fan of good nutrition, it will not touch the autoimmune functions in MG.

      1. People are curing themselves from other autoimmune diseases. Dr. Wahls is one example of a respected doctor curing herself of MS. I couldn't talk and I couldn't walk a block in 2014. I was a teacher. Now I am thriving with a career - all of which is possible with this complex diet and stress management. I am still healing from the digestion issues from Mestinon, though, 7 years later. I am sharing my story, finally, and am working on how to explain what I did. I responded well to the AIP once I figured out my triggers.

      2. Thank you! I am a female 70 years old and was just diagnosed with MG. I was astounded to read that MG usually appears in women under the age of 40. BUT the more I learn of the symptoms I have come to believe that I have indeed had this disease since I was in my 40's. I have had issues such as Hypothyroid, Rheumatoid factor, Tinnitus, and Raynaud's Phenomenon. I have been on restrictive diets, due to being overweight, most of my adult life. I have been a vegan for Five years. I am absolutely convinced that my diet has kept this condition at bay. Diet very much influences the expression of autoimmune diseases. Thank you again.

    2. Can you clue me in? What methods methodologies foods etc have you used successfully?

      2. Hi , just wanted to note that what may help for some, may not work for others. Additionally, there is no scientific consensus on a cure for MG. This is a great article about MG and food: https://myasthenia-gravis.com/living/food-diet-journey. Let us know if you have any questions or can provide additional information!
