Blood results - is it MG?

Hi everyone
I’m going through tests for MG at the moment as I have a thymoma. I’ve been ill for nearly 18 months now.
My AChR level is at 0.51. Is this positive?

  1. You are defined as having ACHR positive MG. There is no good reason for ever having ANY ACHR binding antibody in your blood. Levels will go up and down for no known reasons. If you have had by now a thymectomy, please report here how it affected your symptoms. Thanks and best wishes.

    1. Hi
I am just wondering if you saw the doctor and got an MG diagnosis as I'm 0.59 so similar to you? 😊

      1. There are different tests for that antibody. I had one from PCP and the threshold for MG was .5 nmol/L or higher. That test was processed in a lab located in Utah. Since I live 3.5 hours away from Rochester MN I decided to go the Mayo Clinic for confimation and a treatment plan. Mayo clinic has there own tests which not only for the AChR binding antibody but also the AChR modulation antibody. I was positive on all tests. The threshold for AChR binding antibody on the Mayo tests .02 nmol/L. You should consult with your physician and if you have further questions see a neurologist and have an EMG test. I hope that this helps you.

        1. My grandmother had MG my mom definitely has the bent neck, swallowing issues and no voice for years! I now ans seeing more and more symptoms coming out at 54. I have a tendency to …just fall, issues with walking. My partner says I’m dragging my leg! The feel heavy and so do my extremities. I have had the cross eyes but didn’t even think it had anything to do with MG. I don’t have the droopy eyes by they feel heavy often. Also, I was diagnosed with systemic lupus.
