IVIG infusion
I was told by my dr. I can’t have that infusion because I had 2 cancers back in 2008 and the side effect of that infusion is cancer ! I don’t know how true that is but everyone should check that out before agreeing to it. I had 10 treatments of plasma aphersis I think it worked but took weeks before able to walk and eat after my mg crisis!
Yes it was but I think it helped cause I was able to walk again without help of walker but was about a month later . I just posted what I was told from my neruo for other members to ask there drs and be aware . I also had 2 cancers within 6 months colon and thymona in 2008. So when some articles say to have thymona removed it will help I don’t believe that. But who really knows with this disease! I also just got 2fratures in my vertebrate from steroids so be careful with them!
I'm sorry you're not allowed to get IVIG. Clapping for you for being a cancer survivor. I've never never heard of IVIG causing cancer. I'll definitely be emailing my doctor about that. I've been getting IVIG for about 5 years now and the only side effect I typically have are migraines. I never had plasma aphersis before. Was that your first time getting it? - Jazmin (team member)
