Borderline achr antibodies

Hey, new girl here. Long story short my gp text the other day to say the achr antibodies have come back "borderline" raised (reference range where I am is 0.0-0.59). Mine were 0.66. Suggests repeat in 3 months... Could this be myasthenia gravis? I need to know if I'm going crazy or these hideous symptoms are real!

  1. Ophthalmologist suspected MG, week later in hospitalFirst responder information pack. Goes on seat belt. All the best

    1. you need to get help. Good luck

      1. So so frustrating I feel better don’t know if I’m in remission waiting for more blood work ugh!

        1. Diagnosing MG is almost as much art as science. Some have clear antibody markers, but the symptoms of "seronegative" MG where all of the tests are negative are virtually the same as for those with solid blood evidence.

No reason to "go crazy." A good neurologist will help you through the diagnostic process (which can be long and a bit contorted.) In the interim, your doctor might suggest a low level of a drug to look at if it helps. In all cases, your medical team will encourage you to stay healthy in all the normal ways. Take care of yourself and use the time to learn more about MG and other autoimmune conditions. We all wish you well. Juliana (MG Team)
