Brain Fog

I am 6 months into my MG diagnosis. Right now doing OK with Pyridostigmine. Lately, I have been having trouble with brain fog & short term memory loss. I asked my neurologist about what could be done and he said there is no relationship between MG and brain fog. I would be interested in other's experiences, including: treatment, symptoms, and or results. Thank You! https://myasthenia-gravis.com/clinical/brain-fog

  1. I'm taking 25mgs a day. It's caused me to develop dibetis.

    1. Autoimmune conditions, which Myasthenia gravis is, cause inflammation throughout the body, and as this article discusses, the inflammation in the brain as well, which the study says is primarily attributed to brain fog: https://www.autoimmuneinstitute.org/covid-news-and-autoimmune-disease/long-covid/brain-fog-likely-caused-by-brain-inflammation-its-not-just-all-in-their-head/. 2. TimG75... Brain fog is not fun!! While brain fog is not MG related per say.... It is!!! Many of us that have MG (myself included) have brain fog. But Dr.'s don't recognize this as a symptom, because brain fog can happen for many reasons. Here is an article from Medical News Today about brain fog. While it does not mention MG itself; it does talk about Autoimmune conditions (Myasthenia gravis is autoimmune). Hope this helps!!
