General Myathenia Gravis

When I am ready to retire for the evening and I take off my shoes my right foot will curl to the left like it is paralyzed in that position because I have been diagnosed for only 6 weeks. I am not sure if this is mg or not. Double vision, drooling, eye and lip were drooping , and right side weakness. Anyone else have painful paralyzed misshaped foot cramps ?

  1. I also have foot and leg cramps when taking my shoes off. So I may leave them on over night. Not the best but it works. I gave a lot of upper back of leg cramps and have not found a way to deal with that except using cyclobensiprine (sp) but my Dr. After RXing them to me for 10 years has decided He is not going to due to the crack down on this type of meds. And I hate to be labeled as a drug seeker so here I sit with rear end cramps about 50% of my days. Do any of you deal with feeling guilty when asking for certain classes of helpful meds. So you just do not take them? I could go to the pain clinic but I hate to add more visits and more money to bills that already are monthly bills I struggle to pay.

    1. Hey there! It is so good to hear an update from you, its been a while 😀

For the cramps, have you tried a massage gun or foam rolling?

I would also look into Piriformis syndrome or mention it to your doctor as a possible cause of your cramps if you have yet to.

  2. Hi sorry to hear all the symptoms you are enduring. Have you had an opportunity to discuss with your doctor? If you haven't already, we always recommend speaking with your physician about new or developing symptoms. Hopefully anyone with any similar experiences will chime in. I see you recently joined our community and wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you! If we can ever help locate any other info or simply provide a listening ear, please don't hesitate to reach out. Again, welcome! -Jessica (Team Member)

    1. thank you for reaching out. The foot cramps are still happening at night. It’s painful but I feel the weight resistant training at the gym is helping. I do the aerobics part in the pool . Moving is much easier with the prednisone. Still can’t climb or decent stairs normally. Only one stair at a time! The switch to time release Mestinon was a game changer. No more break through garbled speech.

    2. glad to hear Mestinon has been helpful with some of your symptoms. How are you doing today? I hope it has been good to you. Please know we're here anytime. - Jessica (Team Member)
