Numbness and tingling in limbs

I have recently been diagnosed as having MG with MuSK. About 5 months ago I started feeling pain around my right elbow. My PCP diagnosed it as tennis elbow. About 6 weeks ago it progressed to tingling and numbness from my elbow all of the way down into my right hand. Sometimes like when I am shaving, it gets worse and I worry that I might drop my razor. When I had an EEG, they tested that area all the way up to my face and eyes. I am told that I have a pinched nerve around my C4 vertebra. I thought I would ask this community if this is common with MG. I am not really buying a pinched nerve as the cause since this onset coincides with when my MG symptoms began.

  1. I was diagnosed with MG in June 22 and have been experiencing pain in my left shoulder for around the last 2 months. I can sometimes feel a clicking when moving the joint certain ways. I cannot recall having injured the area but back in 2016 I was told I had a crumbling vertebrae at C8 in my neck after going to the doctor with pins and needles, pains and cramps in my left arm and hand which sometimes also occurred in my right arm and hand. Despite asking for a scan , I was never given one for this so don’t know how the doctor could be so specific in their diagnosis. Now that I have MG maybe there is a link, who knows. Today I had an MRI scan done if my brain, spine, lumbar and sacral areas at my Neurologist’s request to rule out any other issues which potentially could be causing the severe pains I am experiencing in my lower back and both legs. Hopefully the scan will confirm if I do or don’t have issues with C8. MG is so strange in how it affects people differently that every day is a school day. The quest for knowledge on this condition is never ending.

    1. I have had MG for about 3.5 years now and have developed some numbness and tingling as well. Sometimes it is in my fingers and sometimes my foot. It doesn't last long but I have been told my doctor this is a common symptom of MG. This is a very strange disease and not only does the disease bring about different symptoms but the medication does as well. Good luck in the future and as hard as it can be sometimes, try to remain positive.

      1. Thank you for your input. When I was first diagnosed with MG, I was placed on a prednisone 10mg daily and Mestinon 3x daily. My arm numbness symptoms seemed to approve. I chalked this improvement up to the prednisone. Flash forward a couple of weeks and I stopped taking the Mestinon because of diarrhea. My numbness went back to the frequency and level I was experiencing before taking my meds. I decided to get back onto the Mestinon and the right arm numbness has decreased. I repair Fuji Film photo printers for a living so turning a screw driver is something I do quite a bit of. I noticed yesterday that after working for a while the numbness increases and yesterday I felt the numbess all the way up into my right quadricep. I began using an electric screw driver about 6 weeks ago and it does help. I strongly suspect that the numbness is a symptom of my disease.
