shoes and boots

Does anyone have good , lightweight shoes with great traction, not super expensive? Boots are also an issue. Have found zip, kind of light weight, sort of warm but during the super cold snap they were difficult. OK, could have been my muscles didn't like deep cold even with windproof, wet proof pants on. Feels like I am constantly second guessing what works with this body.

  1. Hey Cheryl! I am unfamiliar with cold-weather lightweight shoes as I live in Florida. But when the weather warms up for you, Birkenstock shoes have been my go-to shoe for years. The Arizona Essentials line has EVA material shoes that are waterproof and lightweight. From personal experience, they are very supportive and conform to your foot. The EVA material is of excellent quality and can last years. Many stores in person carry these, including DSW, Dick's Sporting Goods, Bealls, Rack Room Shoes, Bass Pro Shops, JCPenney, and Foot Locker. - Jodi, Team Member

    1. Depends on which model you get, but I have been getting Sketchers -- both online and at our local Kohl's -- and some are really heavy, but the slip-ons are lightweigh
      t and easy on/off.

      1. Hi Jazmin, most shoes are online only and not gonna risk it. Reebok had a line "Astro" that had flat sole, lightweight, integrated tongue , good support but they discontinued it over my protest. so many step in shoes now on the market, allegedly lightweight but only mail, trying to find real life experience.

        1. That's very true. Considering some shoes may run big or small, narrow or wide. I agree that going to try on is so much better. Plus, you won't have to deal with the hassle of trying to return them back to the manufacture if you bought them online. I hope you find the right shoe for you soon. - Jazmin (team member)

      2. Hi try https://www.dsw.com and type in light weight running shoes. The price however can vary. The most affordable one I saw was around 40 dollars. But they have good brands like Nike and Addidas. I did look up sketchers but to my surprise that were over $100. It depends on your price range. With New Year's around the corner there's bound to be END OF THE YEARS sales. Too bad we don't have Payless anymore or that would have been my first choice. I hope you're able to find a pair of shoes. - Jazmin (team member)
