Thymus gland

Do i have to be removed even if it isn't bloated?
I have a breathing disorder, and the doctor tells me that it can only improve by 30 % if it's removed.

  1. To Hams_sayed: You are asking a really complicated question, and you will get different answers. Some MG is caused by thymoma (a tumor of the thymus that can be cancerous.) Most are visible on x ray but some are very tiny. Many MG patients have their thymus removed because even if it is not visible it could be malignant. Yet no one is saying that all or even most MG is from thymoma. The best advice is to get lots of good medical advice from experts on the condition. It's not black and white. Juliana (team member)

    1. I don't have thymoma, but the antibodies level is elevated, and there are doctors who advise me to remove it, others who refuse, and I don't know who I'm hearing from.

  2.
