I now have three of them. A Neuro Ophthalmologist who gave me an immediate diagnosis after wasting six months with a regular ophthalmologist. I live in a rural area and went through a couple of PCP's who said they had expertise in such but neither gave a darn about me or even took the time to remember what they had done my previous visit. Immediately after my diagnosis I added an endocrinologist to counteract the actions of the previous PCP's who thought a glucose level of 400 was sustainable! I now have what looks to be a really good PCP.
I have been relatively healthy my whole life, went to the doctor once a year and then, only because my office required it, and I pretty much was accepting of their care. Lesson learned, Doctors are human, if it sounds like BS it most likely is, move on.
