mg and eye surgery

I am scheduled for a vitrectomy eye surgery for a macular hole ,I am very nervous and am wondering if anyone else has ever had this done that I can ask questions ? My eyes had finally stableized and was 20/20 with glasses now this , I am concerned with any possible after issues and with the anesthesia as they suggest it is better than just a twilight sleep type med . Deb I appreciate any feedback on your info or experiance .Thanks so much .

  1. http://nebula.wsimg.com/903ebe2c701eb4e72e3211dc9fb9064e?AccessKeyId=7F50FBE19A111D19DDAC&disposition=0&alloworigin=1, The following information was sourced and approved by the Myasthenia Gravis Association (MGA) Medical Advisory Committee (MAC). This list is a guide of drugs and a key to how likely they will lead to adverse reactions with MG. The level they are rated is how much risk is associated based on past patient experiences. Of course, no response can be predicted for those with MG. This is just a suggestion based on scientific research. Here is the ANESTHETICS they list.

      1. Hi there, I can't imagine how you must be feeling! Unfortunately, I have not seen much discussion within the community about this type of surgery but hoping someone chimes in with their own experience! I did want to share an article about anesthesia you might find helpful as you prep: https://myasthenia-gravis.com/living/surgery-preparation and https://myasthenia-gravis.com/living/surgery-referral-experience
