Muscles

Hi I'm new here and waiting for blood results achr & musk.
Can anyone help,I have graves disease,TED and pernicious anemia.
My eye Dr requested blood tests as have one eye with retracted eyelid (mild TED) and the other that droops the more tired I am as the day goes on.
My main problem is muscle twitching that is constant in calves, and weakened legs the more I do,my arms feel weak too.
All the articles I have read about MG do not mention muscle twitching.

  1. It sounds like you're having muscle twitching and feeling weak in your legs and arms. It's important to see a doctor who can figure out what's going on and suggest exercises or treatments to help you feel better you can also perform. Take care of yourself!

    1. Hi I’m still waiting for blood work for MG my doctor ordered all of them. It’s been a stressful month. How long did it take to get the results? I started having double vision 6 months ago. My opthalmologist is sending me to neuroopthalmologist later this month. I’ve recently had eye lid drooping. I’ve had Graves’ disease 6 yrs ago and she thinks it’s TED. Yesterday my legs got so tired with driving. I just wish the labs would come back. Thanks for listening.

      1. We are always here to listen! So sorry you're left waiting for your results. One of our patient leaders wrote an article about next steps to take while waiting for a diagnosis: https://myasthenia-gravis.com/living/diagnosis-steps I also wanted to share that we have a sister site for those living with TED if you wanted to check it out: https://thyroideyedisease.net/ Keep us updated, hoping you get your results back ASAP! - Kaitlyn (Team Member)

    2. Hi Michy, In theory MG should result in lack of twitch. But when you try to do something and not enough individual fibers twitch to make the entire muscle bundle effective, cramps, pain and tremors can result. The muscle is just trying too hard.
