Pain with myasthenia

I have recently been diagnosed with myasthenia, antibody musk. I will start treatment as soon as my insurance allows.

I am having pain in my neck. Are there stretches that others do to help relieve this pain? How about over the counter medicines like advil?

  1. I finished with therapist doing better yah for me!

    1. hello It's good to hear you'll be starting your treatment soon. How are you feeling besides the the neck pain? You can always do some simple stretches, like, rolling your head from one side to the other. I know my neck tends to hurt in the morning as soon as I wake up. Me personally, I tilt my head up, down then side to side. I repeat this motion a couple of times. The best thing you can do is also talk to your doctor and find out why your having this pain in your neck. Then both of you can come up with proper stretches that fit your needs.

You also can ask your doctor about what pain medications you can take. If you're put on medication to help your MG symptoms, some pain relievers should NOT be taken together with your medication. I hope this was helpful. Best of luck. - Jazmin (team member)
