Pain when swallowing.

I know that a lot of us have difficulty swallowing. When I am overtired or it’s time for medication I can have difficulty swallowing with pain, sometimes a good bit of pain as it feels like the food is just stuck, not going up or down. So far I have gotten through all of them just by waiting and taking small sips of water. Does anyone else experience this?
I’m wondering if it’s strictly MG or is something else going on. Thank you 😀

  1. one thing i try to do is to avoid distractions while eating or drinking. I notice sometimes if i'm in the middle of taking my pills and someone is trying to talk to me, I get distracted and end up choking.
for me its also easier to swallow with apple sauce/pudding. if i'm on the go, i typically take applesauce that comes in the squeezable packets.

    1. This is one of my most prevalent symptoms. Even at night, when I wake up, I take a drink of water. I liken it to swallowing a pill wrong and it feels stuck for a while. I get this with water up to any food I eat during the day. Sometimes I have to stop and 'reset' to continue eating.

      1. I started to notice this in the last year, tiredness and stress does make it worse or if I’m having a bad allergy or asthma day. I can have problems enunciating when speaking at times too, it make me wonder if my throat and mouth are on revolt at times. My MD adjusted my Mestinon to help.

        1. Hello! How have you been lately?
