Steroid-Induced Glaucoma

Steroids, a treatment used for Myasthenia gravis, can cause side effects, including increased pressure within the eye, also known as glaucoma. If left unaddressed, glaucoma can lead to outcomes such as blindness. Have you experienced steroid-induced glaucoma?

  1. I usen't steroid but I have a glokom

    1. Hi Jodi! Good info. My neurologist had me get up to 60 mg of prednisone! But then in my hospital stay, they weaned me off of it. And my appetite came back! No eye issues though.
They had me on Imuran, and infusions, and I got bacterial pneumonia. And almost non existent white blood cells, after my thymectomy.
My neurologist said I'm still symptomatic. But I'm afraid to go back to infusions & imuran.
