What would you tell yourself when you were first diagnosed?

Its easy to notice where we are in the present and where we'd like to be in the future, but what would you tell yourself back when you were told you diagnosis? What advice would give? Would you do anything different?

  1. This is a part of your destiny, and great things are to come out of this that you may not be able to see now. Trust in the timing of the universe and that everything happens for a reason 😀

    1. I had been so miserable for so long in chronic pain fpr 30 + years. When I had a diagnosis I was elated and still am.I finaly knew what was wrong. I was not a hypochondriac , I did have a real issue and then I knew I could start the healing process.
It is not easy but I now have knowledge and this wonderful forum to help me manage, Thank you all for your writings and honesty it has helped me mote than you will ever know.

    2. : my sisterinlaw was diagnosed with MS a few years before my ex was dx. My did survived five years of Amorel Lateral Sc;erpsis. I was then on disability for arthritis and was caring for my mother with severe heart problems. After they all passed away I was diagnosed at age 65 with MG. All I told my dr. was, oh God what next! I am still walking, etc. at age 76 and have seen my grandchildren graduate from high school.

      1. I think its natural to immediately do the "why me" or "what now." Now you can realize it wasn't the end of the world. Glad you're doing well! -Shelbie (Team Member)

    3. Thank you for your response! I think its good even while we may be going through things, to always stay positive. It may be hard at times, but we can't be too hard on ourselves!
