Long Remission

In the early stages, MG can be exceedingly episodic. It may come on strong and then suddenly disappear for an extensive time. After suffering ocular issues for 18 months, my symptoms went away for three to four years. In retrospect, I can see that it was not a true remission but just a long period of time when several new symptoms would come and go without my even recognizing them because they were so different than my initial symptoms. Then full-blown generalized MG struck, resulting in a crisis and now several years or serious and progressive disability. Enjoy every moment of a seeming remission but keep your guard up. MG is full of surprises.
