MG and Parkinson's Disease

I was diagnosed with AChR+ MG last March. Two months later I was also diagnosed with Parkinson's. I'm 76 years old, so the good news is that I don't have early onset Parkinson's! Heck, I don't have early onset anything :).

The best treatment to slow Parkinson's progression is regular, strenuous exercise. But the MG requires monitoring and limiting exertion to keep from flaring. So, it's been a journey, finding a balance.

The MG has been treated with Mestinon (helped with ptosis but not much else), Prednisone (40mg, now tapering off), IVIG and CellCept. A month ago I stopped the IVIG as it wasn't helping and started the self-injeted Vyvgart Hytrulo. It seems to be helping!

I'd love to know if there are any folks here that have both MG and PD and learn how how they are navigating this.

Peace and better health to you all.
