anyone get glasses for your double vision?

My opthamologist who diagnosed my MG wants to stay involved in my treatment, he was saying he would do botox on my eye to make the muscle wake up that is keeping my eye out of whack, but the Dr who treats my MG said absolutely not, so am thinking about glasses. Also having problems with dry eye, it is a real pain.

  1. skip the glasses for double vision, with treatment the double vision should go away. At first my primary had me on 5mg of prednisone, until i went to an actual nuerologist, took a couple of months, my neurologist said 5mg... that is USELESS, put me on 30 and double vision was gone in a few days. i have had MG for about a year and i have not had the double vision come back again once my medication was set. Not saying it is the same for everyone, but the double vision... should correct itself once you have proper meds.

    1. I originally went to an optometrist for double vision and they referred me to an ophthalmologist who diagnosed me with MG rather quickly. I did order prescription glasses with prisms. I definitely needed glasses. I don’t know if it was coincidental or not my but both my double vision and droopy eyelid went away about 3 weeks after getting the glasses.
