Do positive blood tests later show no sign of gMG?

My neurologist keeps saying that now that my antibody blood test shows no antibodies, that she is stopping Vyvgart. This is after 3 positive blood tests that kept getting worse. Vyvgart helps me so much but she has stopped it now. Other neurologists and my case manager says this is not true - that once it is positive, it has not gone away plus I have all the visible signs. I am changing neurologists but in my area they are few so will need to drive far. Anyone encounter this? I hear that there are new tests and that other meds can effect the outcome of the blood tests

  1. Test results for ACHR Binding Antibody will vary from time to time, for no known reason, and should not be used to determine the severity of the disease. They do not usually go to zero however unless you are in remission, which is a really wonderful thing. I would listen to the doctor that got you Vyvgart and apparently got you into remission, which is one of the advertised possible benefits of Vyvgart. Remissions can be permanent or temporary, But even if the MG comes back, you know how to deal with it. In the meantime, I'd celebrate giving my body a break from all those powerful and dangerous MG drugs.
