Are specific vaccinations safe with MG?
We have a new granddaughter and my son has expressed an interest that I get the new fall Covid vaccine and flu shot ? I have received the rsv and whooping cough a year ago without incidence. Any recommendations on taking these with MG?
My doctor advises me to do both covid and flu vaccinations, but to space them a few weeks apart to reduce stress on my immune system. I have done that for several years without any problem. Avoid the flu nasal spray. It is a live vaccine and not for MG patients.
My husband had flu shot at Vet's facility and it triggered his MG. Came home reeking of a comical that lasted 30 days. The rest is sad history. Our 75 yr. old friend got covid shot and immediately had a stroke and now totally paralyzed on her right side. All medical people said it was from the covid shot.
Just took flu and Covid vac. No bad reactions yet. Did samething last year no reactions that I know of.
I’m very concerned about mRNA vaccines and the immune system. Personally, I don’t want the increase in “bad IgG” when my immune system is compromised.
Good point. I need the flu vaccine because I've had asthma all my life. I hope it won't affect the MG too much.
