How do you experience breathing problems?

Hi, I was hoping you could share what breathing problems feel like for you.
For me, it's mostly feeling a pressure on my chest and lightheadedness/feeling like I'm about to faint.
But I don't experience anything like wheezing or appearing out of breath or something like that. This makes it difficult for me to search medical help for it, since it's all just 'feelings' instead of actual visible signs of breathing weakness/difficulties. Sometimes I randomly start sighing deeply, other times it feels more like my urge to breathe just becomes almost absent?
Is this familiar to any of you?
Thanx in advance 😀

  1. At my worst my diaphragm is just too exhausted to work.

  2. I experience big sighs in my breathing. I was diagnosed with OcularMG. I get Diplopia ( dbl vision). quite often

  3. I have a myrad of conditions with my MG. Breathing is just one of them. I can have labored breathing walking 20 steps, carrying any parcel, or often doing nothing.
I am more often having difficulty swallowing. Even a small sip of water can stop the process. I never have any meal anymore without swallowing being an issue whether soft food, course food or even liquid.
Direct sunshine or heat can trigger a MG attack and cause extreme fatigue. I notice things in succession, vision blurred and/or doubled. Slurred speech, and muscle tone in my mouth, cheeks and tongue (quite like a visit to the dentist). Fatigue sets in and I can hardly make one foot in front of the other, even lifting a glass of water seems unlikely.
My heart will beat irregular and my blood pressure will fluctuate. Doctors say MG does not affect the heart. That is a statement made in generalities. I can and does effect some people. It has caused me to have a defib pacemaker installed.

  4. I experience heavy breathing with light work - 1 floor of steps will do it. A short walk carrying something heavy as well. If I don't be careful, it can take a while to recover once it is triggered.

I've had an specialist analysis of the breathing and it indicates the system is working, although it is not with MG.
