Muscle pain in legs & mental fog

Hello, I was diagnosed with ocular back in 2012 since then I’ve experienced a range of different types of symptoms, chronic fatigue muscle pain out of nowhere anxiety, mental fog along with the ocular double vision. has anyone experienced any of these and what treatment work best. I’m currently taking pyridostigmine 30mg x4.
thank you so much in advance George

  1. It sounds like your ocular MG is becoming more generalized. That's common. Your pyridostigmine is the first line of defense, but after all these years I would have thought your doctor would have recommended an immunosuppressant like azathioprine or Cellcept. Ask your doctor. Be frank with him. Tell him the pyridostigmine is not doing enough to control your symptoms.

  2. It is devious. Sometimes I feel ok but mostly weak. Weakness so bad it limits my ability to walk, drive, bicycle.
I’m working very hard to overcome using infusions, VA funded exercise with PT always with me. I’ve fallen too many times (now trying to recover from broken hip and skull injuries). Mestinon, prednison help some. The infusions do not seem to help but I’ll hang in there. They take up a whole day with transportation and wait times after infusions.

I’ve heard that there is or is coming soon the availability to self administer MG infusions at home. True?

    Be happy - it helps!!

    Jack

    1. Hello Jack! I found this article that may answer some of your questions about in-home infusions. I hope you find it helpful 😀
