I was detected ocular MG .auto closing of left eye, could not drive .
Started with.Distinon. 7hrs effective . Dr suggested.steroid .Googled... and scared of side effects. Started doing Sarvangasan for 10 minutes . Stopped everything . All symptoms vanished. . Remember 10 minutes not so easy but can achieve.

  1. It is Achr . Value was around 4

    1. If you end up deciding you need more treatment to control your symptoms, these are popular options for those with AChR antibodies, with typically fewer side effects than mestinon and steroids, that you could discuss with your doctor: Azathioprine (Azasan®, Imuran®), Eculizumab (Soliris®), efgartigimod (Vyvgart®), Ravulizumab-cwvz (Ultomiris®), Mycophenolate mofetil (CellCept®, Myfortic®). For a comprehensive list of treatments, here is an article: https://myasthenia-gravis.com/treatment.

  2. Hey! It is good to hear from you. I do not blame you for wanting to avoid steroids. That is totally okay, and I am glad you are making choices for yourself instead of simply rolling with your doctor's suggestions without doing your own research first 😀 Steroids are not a good long-term treatment option anyway. And since you are not experiencing weakness outside of the eyes, you likely will be good sticking with the mestinon and possibly adding an immunosuppressant or biologic treatment as well (those take weeks to months to take effect, depending on the treatment and individual). Here is a popular discussion about ocular MG treatments that have worked for others: https://myasthenia-gravis.com/forums/ocular-mg-which-treatment-has-worked-best-for-you.

Do you know which MG antibody you have that would have been detected in blood work (Acetylcholine receptor [AChR], Muscle-specific tyrosine kinase [MuSK], Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 4 [LRP4], or if you are seronegative (no antibodies)?
