Prevalence of Myasthenia Gravis

I was curious just how rare MG is and found a study related to that question: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10907989/

The short answer is in my state (Washington) with a population of 8 million people probably only one thousand people have MG.

The relevance of this is finding a doctor who has had any experience with this diagnosis. I have been told that any neurologist who deals with neuromuscular diseases should be able to treat us. But I am skeptical.
