Swallowing issues

I am wondering about how other people's swallowing issues. I was fine this morning, breakfast with no issues. Took my two mestinon this morning. When I attempted to eat later in the day I had a difficult time swallowing and kept kind of sort of burping. Even swallowing water seems to be an event. Is that the typical way the swallowing issue occurs? Does anybody else find taking more meds helps?
